Artist's Description
This little boat was tied to the walkway/dock at Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse in Manteo, NC and this photograph was taken in June of 2012. The oars were in it and the winds were heavy and it was rocking back and forth and caught my eye. This simple photograph is one of my favorites because this was taken at the time I was just falling in love with photography.
About Cathy Lindsey
I have been an artist as long as I can remember. My specialty is pastel portraits, although I also paint in oils. I bought a camera in 2011 to capture images to paint from and fell in love with photography. Taking photos has become a passion on its own. I am originally from Georgia but moved to High Country NC in 2016. I live just a few miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway and love taking mountain pictures. I take my camera and ride to explore new places and photograph everything in sight. I am like a child and get excited about a mountain view or sometimes just a flower blooming.
