Artist's Description
This is a watercolor painting of a scene overlooking Turnagain Arm an inlet just south of Anchorage along the Seward Highway. In the distance one can see the light reflected by Portage Glacier through the horizon.
About Sharon Freeman
Sharon was a member of the Northwest Watercolor Society and a juried member of the Southwest Washington Watercolor Society. Her watercolors have won awards in National and local competitions. Sharon�s paintings hang in public buildings in Washington State as well as hotels in Alaska. An article featuring Sharon�s watercolor techniques was published in the Artists� Magazine, October 2000 issue. I look for unique patterns within small areas of nature and try to emphasize them.
